Bocconi Test Preparation with Topsquad

The Bocconi test can be taken from around mid-July 2025 to early April 2026, and results must be submitted in one of the three scheduled sessions:

Early: September 3-26, 2025 (3:00 p.m.)

Winter: November 28, 2025-January 23, 2026 (3:00 p.m.)

Spring: March 27 - April 13, 2026 (3:00 p.m.)

You can therefore take the Bocconi test almost all year round, but you can only submit your results during the three sessions. The first two sessions offer the highest chances of admission, as only 5% of available places are allocated for the spring session.

The Bocconi test is taken online on the platform created by the university. It consists of 50 multiple-choice questions divided into four subject areas, and you have 75 minutes to complete it.

There are two types of Bocconi tests available:

• Bocconi Test
• Bocconi Test - Law



The first is valid for applying to any degree program, while the second can only be used to apply for degree programs in the legal field (single-cycle master's degree program in Law and Global Law program).

For each of the two types of tests, you will have four attempts available during the web testing platform's opening period (July 2025 - April 2026).

If you want to study economics, law, or political science at Bocconi, you will have to take a selection test that is held every year to determine which students are most deserving of studying at this university. This screening is done through certifications or, more commonly, through the Bocconi test.

The admission test is taken online on a platform created specifically by the university and is structured as follows:

50 multiple-choice questions, divided into 4 categories

Mathematics: 28 questions;

Reading comprehension: 11 passages

Numerical reasoning: 6 questions

Critical thinking: 5 questions

You will have 75 minutes to answer the questions. You will not have time to review your answers, and the university indicates that you will need a little less than a minute to answer some questions, while others will take more than a minute.

The questions are not in order; they will be mixed by topic, difficulty, and length.

The goal is to answer all the questions correctly, scoring a perfect 50 points. Obviously, achieving this goal is very difficult and requires excellent preparation.

There are no official figures, but we estimate that there are between 17,000 and 20,000 candidates each year.

It is necessary to have a clear understanding of the topics covered in the test, do lots of practice tests, and practice time management. In order to achieve a good result that guarantees admission to university, it is necessary to develop a strategy and methodology for solving the exercises, which must be reinforced over time.

Registration for the Bocconi test costs €100 plus €60 for each attempt, for a maximum of four attempts per academic year.

The minimum threshold to be considered in the ranking is 17 points, but a higher score does not guarantee admission to Bocconi University. There is a ranking system that assigns places until all available places are filled. You must therefore perform better than others to secure a place at Bocconi.

Let's see how the scoring works:

• You will be awarded 1 point for each correct answer.
• You will be awarded 0 points for each unanswered question.
• You will be deducted -0.2 points for each incorrect answer (except for some critical thinking questions, which will deduct -0.33 points).

In addition to the general minimum threshold of 17 out of 50 points, candidates who have indicated the “Bachelor in Mathematical and Computing Sciences for Artificial Intelligence” course among their choices must also have scored a minimum of 11 out of 28 in the subject area of “mathematics.”

You can take the entrance exam up to four times per academic year on the dates available for the test. Once you have registered and purchased an attempt, you can finally take the Bocconi test. Within 24 hours of submitting your answers, you will receive your score. You can decide independently whether and which score to submit for admission. You can only submit your scores during the three sessions scheduled by the university.
